DDI Update 3/15

It is a preview of the class as presented in Heroes of Shadow. It will not be in the builder until after the book is released. So I would assume it will be in the May update.

There is an interesting paragraph in the broadcast I got:

Next month we start implementing our plan to sync up DDI updates with printed book releases. This means that on the 19th of April, when Heroes of Shadows hits shelves, the material will also be available in the Character Builder and Compendium. Going forward, we intend to sync up our DDI updates with our printing schedule whenever possible.

One can only hope.

Actually, with inherent bonuses now part of the online character builder, and with a plan for zero-day book inclusion, most of my objections to the online version have been handled. Not all - but honestly, this has convinced me to extend my resub.

I like Wizards, but man, they never seem to make it easy for me to.

Wow. Okay, so I can mostly stop complaining about wanting stuff. I'd still like to be able to add my own materials, but this is good so far.

Agreed. Being able to add your own campaign-specific material is the key missing feature that will (A) make the CB useful for those of us who run games with meaningful levels of customization and (B) allow folks who depend on the CB play more customized games.

Still, having a CB that is up to speed with WotC's own material is a fine step in the right direction.

Personally, I'd be all sorts of giddy if they gave me the option to put in a custom deity name.

I play a lot of Dragonlance, and that would be helpful to me. I'm certain folks who play other worlds or who have homebrew pantheons would really like that feature too.

While I agree that this would be nice, I also think its of relatively low importance. After all, I can just leave the deity line blank and then write it in on the character sheet. So, while I would like to have it in, I would rather they fix major bugs, make the marketplace easier to navigate, etc. first, and then worry about the window treatments and the like.
