I myself prefer to see this as a hopeful sign- I suspect they originally planned to roll the new MB out as-is, like they did the CB, but the response convinced them not to. IF the online MB proves at least as usable as the current version in its post-MM3 state, I will be somewhat mollified- that's my biggest bitch about the whole thing, is the breaking of a good tool and then discarding it without fixing it or without a timeline for replacement.
