DDM: Anyone get mini's for Christmas?

My sons go minis, but not new, random packs. They are ages 3, 5 and 7, and have no idea what is rare, uncommon, etc. They just like to play with the minis, like playing with army men (who sometimes fight the minis).

So I got help from diaglo, who has a bunch of extra commons. I bought over 100 from him, and Santa delivered them. A big hit with all 3 boys. Thanks, Santa diaglo!

$50 gift certficate for Barnes & Nobles and guess what they had? Yup, D&D minis. Some interesting picks, but I went with the older stuff (boxed set of Aberrations, Angelfire, and Deathknell.) Nothing fantastic, but some interesting stuff.

Yes, but not a WotC mini. I'm the only player in my group who uses them. Two of the others are professional modelers, and they play with wife and son, so that makes four pro-painted minis at the table, then my WotC fig. So they chipped in, one bought a mini, and the other painted it.

And it is EXCEPTIONAL!!

I received a bunch of HeroClix, which we use in Mutants and Masterminds. Havok, Shaman, Abomination, Foolkiller, and several several more. I gave DnD Minis to a friend: a number of bugbears, a winter wolf pack, the big Underdark Earth Elemental, an Underdark Halfling and the Elven Stalker.

A friend bought me two Underdark packs. First pull had a Balor! I was pretty excited to get a Balor out of the only two packs of Underdark minis I have! I am thinking about taking the Balor to our next session to sort of show off, but I am a little afraid the DM (a.k.a. Crothian) might decide he could find a use for him!
