Dead Like Me

Mandy Patinkin is apparently persona-non-gratia in much of hollywood at the moment. He was being very much the primadonna on Numbers (his last tv show) and pulled a number of really dickish moves with regards to how he left the show.

I suspect that had as much as anything to do with his not showing up in the movie.

His character was missed though. Rube was very important to the series.

I enjoyed the movie, but didn't think it was great. I loved the series though and it was nice seeing George really growing up, since I HATED the first few episodes where she whined non-stop.

He was on Criminal Minds, not Numbers. From what I heard he and the other male lead (Thomas Gibson) had continued hostilities towards each other from Chicago Hope.

Patinkin's attitude is nothing new, but apparently Hollywood occasionally forgives him and the cycle repeats itself.

I've watched some of the series, and I liked it much more than this straight-to-DVD movie. It was not the same without the full cast. I didn't like the new Daisy either.

Is it just me, or is Ellen Muth (George) terribly thin. Almost sickly... They always try to cover it up with lots of clothes and stuff, but look at her arms and legs. She's a skeleton!

Hello! She's supposed to be dead! Her skeletal skinnyness got her that part!

But yeah...that girl needs to eat.
