Dead Zone, Like or Dislike?

i didnt think he did but i was wondering b/c Johnny touched him and saw the same thing thet he saw when he touched the mayor. So i was curious if Purrdy knew =)

The episode was about (and aptly named) Destiny. I think the fact that Johnny saw the same thing by touching both of the guys (why does that sound so wrong ;) ) simply meant that both of the men will play a part in that future coming to pass (with or without realizing it).

More spoilers ....

I still can't believe that Sarah had an affair with Johnny (and it not be Johnny's imagination).. it doesn't seem like she will cope too easily with that choice (she was crying the morning afterwards when she got home). I guess even the best wives can be tempted ;)

I agree, I don't think Purdy has any idea, but Johnny definately got a much clearer vision when touching them both.

That can't be a coincidence, can it?

On a side note, I really like the Reverend much more now that they've cleared up what really went on between him and Johnny's mother. I'm getting the impression that he really does have Johnny's best interests in mind.

Of course, this is television...

I wouldn't call it an affair after only one occurance. Cheating, yes. Affair, no. But is she going to end up pregnant, that's the big question...

I think she will. The little girl we kept seeing in those 'i cant tell if this is real or not' flashes (with him at the mall)

i missed like 4 episodes. What happened with Purrdy and his mother? Also, anyone else find it odd that he was having the visions BEFORE the coma and hasnt told anyone?

My predictions

Walt will die by mistake but it will look like Johnny did it.

Sara will become pregnant and walt will find out.

Little Johnny will find out who is real dad is.

Thats all for now ... Ok not very good predictions mind you

The reverand has the resources and the savy to help get him all the way to the presidency.

I disagree. The reverand is still slime and will only look out for Johnny's interests as long as they are in line with his own.

Oh, good point. I hadn't thought about that...

The way I interpret it is that Johnny only had the one actual vision prior to the car accident. Remember, his mom tells the Stillsons that it's only been two weeks since his hockey concussion. And he never actually makes a connection between that vision and the others in the episode (as far as we know, anyway), so I'm betting he doesn't remember it.

Plus, they do establish in the pilot that he is already "sensitive" to predicting things, i.e. the whole carnival thing.

Of more interest, I think, is young Stillson's reaction immediately after the initial contact through the bible...

Basically, Johnny started having a series of visions of his mom, dad and Purdy when they were younger, coupled with visions of his mom's bathtub filled with blood. He accused Purdy of murdering her because he had never accepted the fact that she had married Johnny's dad instead of him. When Johnny finally confronted, and touched Purdy, the vision showed that Johnny's mom had killed herself over the grief of "losing" her son (she had been told he would never recover) and Purdy had covered it up to protect her and Johnny's good name.
