December Calendar

I'd love to do more of those, if space allows. In the interim, "Court of the Bramble Queen" is a Court of Stars article (which is basically Demonomicon for fey), so hopefully it'll be to your taste. :)

I for one was very annoyed to see how much of the December calendar is Gamma World. I have nothing against WOTC supporting Gamma World, but that is not D&D or remotely D&D and this month yields precious little support to my D&D game. I have zero interest in Gamma World and don't want to see Gamma World stuff on the D&D calendar.

I think they're having trouble filling the calender with content. That's what the last couple editorials and the really what the current one is about. I think they're underpowered and it's showing. There are some good things, albeit the Dungeon content is light.

I'll finally dust off my ruinpriest. And have a real Executioner (hopefully).

Which is one of the things I asked for in the survey....

Calendar looks light, but that's not a huge surprise.

Can't wait for the Bramble article......love those, Mouse.

I don't get how they can have trouble filling the magazine, thousands of writers are sitting out here, waiting to be published.

I do really like the Court of Stars/Codex of Betrayal/Demonomicon/Channel Divinity/Lords of Chaos type articles. They usually provide a great deal of very useable "fluff" content, not only for DM campaign world building and adventure ideas, but for player character backgrounds and development. They also usually have some nice useable "crunch" content like servants and followers of these powerful beings that can be used in adventures featuring them, or player powers/feats/features that link a character to one of these entities.

You do realize that most of it are free excerpts, and that Gamma World is part of the D&D brand, hence the usual art and map galleries? GW-related DDI stuff this month apart from that is what, the Alumni article?

There is a lack of D&D releases for December and January (just 2 sets of Dungeon Tiles :() and not much DDI content this month, but that's hardly Gamma World's fault.

It baffles me that in the length of time 4E has been out there isn't a Channel Divinity article for every PHB god at least describing their church and how to roleplay their worshipers.

Agreed. The Bane article was a great start on that series. Unfortunately, that was published about 20 years ago, and precious little has followed.

Channel Divinity: Sehanine had info on the goddess' dogma, favored weapons and usual omens.

The thing is, in the core 4e world there aren't unified churches for the deities. Each temple is pretty much on its own.
