Anyone have one, played on one, seen one? I'm looking for something to use in a smaller space. I already have a 24x36 battlemat but sometimes it's just not needed. This thing can also help with flying foes and PC's. It's not cheap, but I am interested.

I tried to get some . . . if you take the plunge, don't order from the company's own website as I did. I placed in order on 11/8 of last year, my credit card was promptly charged, and I've never seen product! Deemer emailed me once promising to make good, but nothing ever came of it. My credit card company is now disputing the charges, but I have a sour taste in my mouth for Deemer. I know of at least one other person who had pretty much the exact same thing happen to him.

Ah, interesting. I wouldn't buy from the company directly, I'd just buy it from the ENworld Store.

I bought their clear plastic battlemat. I find it works quite well - I can draw up a map on a large sheet of paper, then slap the Deemer Board over the top.

I like 'em. They fit in your book bag. You can "leapfrog" them as the characters move from place to place. They take up less space on the table. They don't want to roll themselves up. If you have a cool, artistic scale map without squares, you can slap them down on top.

When I'm prepared, though, I don't often use them. I usually draw scale maps of combat locations on paper with a 1" grid, so I don't have to sketch when combat is imminent. But what GM is alway prepared....
