It's a thought, but you'd have to have a quick n easy way to convert back and forth (hp to wp/vp, etc) for when pcs went from one world to the next.
I know it's a little ridiculous responding to this, but I've been thinking about it some more lately. Jester I don't know what you are talking about, D20 Modern uses the hit point system.
EDIT: On a side note, I will be buying Dark Lore as soon as I can get a job. I'm thinking the entire world (inside and out) will go through a transition that uses the mechanics of Dark Lore, or come up something of my own using the Dark Lore system. The transition will be trigerred after there has been extensive contact between the underworld and topside.

That's probably a better idea than having characters from both d20 Modern and D&D trying to interact. Another way would be to get some of the early d20 mini-games from Dungeon (like pulp heroes) and use that as your "mundane" world. It might be a better balance.

You could certainly run a game with this idea. It would just take some rules work.
