Deities & Demigods question

I've just got the book this morning, so mqaybe this question has already been answered...

The Salient feat Alter reality allows a deity to dulicate any 9th or lower level spell with an standard action. So, why do some deities with that feat, like Zeus, have some spells listed in spellike abilities? They can use any spell at will with the feat, so what's the point of those spelllike abilities?

Thanks!

They get those other spell lika abilities from other sources, so for completeness they are included there.

O.K., I understand that. But that means the spelllike abilities are redundant for them, they can use them and any other spell at will as a standard action, cannot they?
I only want to be sure I've understood it well :)

If you apply meta magic feats to the spell using Alter Reality ability, things do work a little differently, then the normal spell like abilities. OTher then that it does seem redundant.

Don't have the book with me at the moment, but doesn't the deity using Alter Reality also have to rest for a bit afterwards? If that's the case, then it's easy to see why they'd still have their spell-like Domain abilities and so forth...

The deit only must rest if he uses metamagic with the spell, he must rest one round for each level metamagic adds to the spell...
