Delete my user account?

I haven't been to this site for 5 years. Since yesterday, I have been getting 'Reported Visitor Messages' where people complain about spam, because I was some sort of subforum moderator ages ago. I think it would be easiest to just delete my account here, but I can't figure out how/whether I can do that myself.

You can't, but I'll pluck you off of that sub-forum. Sorry about the reported message spam, by the way; we'll fix it so that all sub-moderators aren't reported when there is a reported visitor message. I'm surprised that it's never happened before.

BTW, is it generally impossible to delete an account, or are you just saying I can't do it myself?

An admin can do it, but we don't as a matter of policy. Hey, you never know when a new edition is coming out and you'll need to use it again!

I've removed your old moderatorship, and you shouldn't see any additional reported messages.
