Dramatic shift to campaign prep!

(Ok, not that dramatic... I was ready to run and we were going to start with a bit of campaign prep for a new campaign starting next week only for that bit of prep to turn into 80% of the session time and we chose to call it at that point )

That's a fun vibe. I remember a WoD book that I think was just interesting locations to set games included a Pacific Northwest mashup of Twin Peaks and Cicely and, despite having no interest in Werewolf: The Apocalypse, made me want to use that myself.

Now that I recount it, I'm thinking that would be a good starting point for creating a great base town for any RPG. Both towns would retain all of their quirks if they were located around the Keep on the Pacific Northwest Borderlands, for instance. (Plus, you could have moose in your D&D games. Moose are big enough to be genuinely scary natural animals, before you do anything fantasy to them. Ooh, you could also have orca!)
