[SOLO] D&D BX - Converting L1 The Secret of Bone Hill. Session 1 • Greyhawk, Eastern Coast Lothar, the fighter; Segure, the cleric; Trevick, the thief; and Zobodan, the magic user, become acquaintances on the ship that crosses Spindrift Sound towards The Spindrift Isles. Once in LoReltarma, Segure reveals she must deliver a letter from her superiors to Abbot Qualton in Restenford. The cleric will pay 20 gold pieces to Lothar, Trevik and Zobodan for protection during her travel. They agree. It's a three-day journey. On the road, they fight Gecko lizards (2), are ambushed by Kobolds (6), spend a night with Traders (2), cross paths with gnomes and then later with dwarves. In Restenford, they rent a room at Falco's Taverns (3 stars). As promised, Segure gives 20 gold pieces to her three fellow travellers. That night, Trevick wages five silver pieces against Gap, the local dart-throwing champion. He loses. The next morning, Segure delivers the letter to Abbot Qualton. The abbot is secretly paranoid (mental illness). He requests Segure investigate a burned-down guard post at the edge of town. She accepts. Qualton secretly hopes for her demise. One less enemy to worry about. Segure asks Lothar, Zobodan and Trevick if they wish to investigate the guard house with her. Each of them, having a secret reason to be in Restenford, accepts. In the burned-down guard house, Trevick finds a secret trap door leading down to the caves below. After climbing down a rope set up by the thief, the group come face to face with two skeletons! [ I use cards numbered 1 to 10 for initiative, each round. It makes solo combat less predictable. ]
