The Blimpopolis chronicles part 2: Blimpin' Ain't Easy Rafe Lancaster, Captain Ivanova, and Zelda Saeki are invited to the floating city of Blimpopolis for a performance of a version of Alexander Nevski. The play about the Russian hero is supposed to be an olive branch during the city's visit to Nukeograd Syet. By the time the group arrives though, the show has been reworked to be a Fantasia about the life of Julius Caesar. Captain I, a devoted communist, tries to restore the old script, but there are too many social functions to attend. Instead, the group investigates the theater and foils two separate assassination attempts. The first citizen and first lady, both nominal rules of the city, can't agree on anything. The "groundling" trio do their best to keep both of them alive, culminating in an attack on the first citizen, allegedly by the chief of police... But who turns out to be a golden robot! It's a model stolen from Alloria Midas, with strange metal upgrades similar to those seen in Indus Valley, the Cartoon Roadhouse in New Jersey, and in Siberia. The group defeats it, but before Rafe and Ivanova can influence the future of the city, there's a telegram from Cairo: the ZSS Facility attacked, with casualties, and unknown how much of the vault was raided.
