Design Challenge: Utilizing Fantastic Terrain

I'm not sure if this will count as 'fantastic terrain', but in one encounter I built while DMing, I had the PCs inside of a room which I based on a Rubiks Cube.

There were 6 levers in the room; one on each wall, one on the floor, and one on the ceiling. Pulling a level would rotate one of the room surfaces. The door they entered the room from shut and locked once they entered, and the door to exit the room was in the middle of the ceiling. The walls had various features such as ladders, ropes, whirling blades, and etc. The challenge was to figure out how to get out of the room. What made the challenge a bit more difficult was the fact that traps which were set in the room would activate at regular intervals, so the longer you spent in the room, the worse the room became.
