Destruction and Undead

Can a cleric destroy a undead creature using the destruction spell?

Yes, i know, destruction does not affect objects and thus undead should be immune to it, but i'm not really sure about that.

Any other opinions on this topic?

To me, undead are not objects, they are creatures/monsters. They're immune to certain things that work on living beings, but that's it.

The Holy version should do the trick to undead, the Unholy version may just heal them or something.

The point, dvvega, is not whether undead are objects; they are not.

However, creatures without a constitution score (like all undead) are immune to effects that require a Fortitude save unless they also affect objects. Hence, Mad_Gulag is correct even though unsure about it: destruction does not work on undead.

Right. Destruction requires a Fort save and does not affect objects, therefore it doesn't work on undead or constructs.

Also, if I am not mistaken, Destruction bears the [Death] descriptor, to which undead are specifically immune.

The Death descriptor answer does omit them from being affected however so it's a non-issue.

Either that's only in the case where they HAVE to make fort saves (I think this was a Suggestion somewhere, and not a rule), or that is only in situations like an Undead raging ability, or an Undead Psionic Lich who used Con in life.

Actually they only do that with the Concentration skill.

Check a sample of Undead Fort Saves. They are all ridiculously low because of the lack of Con. The rare Fort Spell that DOES effect Undead defintely puts a whuppin' on them.
