Details & Review of the Matrix Boxed Set

I have to come on board as someone who was more pleased than disappointed by Reloaded and Revolutions. But then I’m a nihilist and everything ending in blood and tears after many sacrifices that turn out to be largely pointless makes me happy.

I liked that Smith lost by winning and Neo won by losing. However, I did think the final symbolism of Neo as a messiah was over done. But this did not spoil the movie for me.

While I did not miss vampires, werewolves and ghouls, I did think at some point Agent Smith should have show up at Merovingian’s club. We did not even have to see him rewrite everyone there as more Smith. Just the realization that everyone in the club was far more screwed with Smith than they were with Trinity and Friends would have been entertaining.

I HATED that robots in the Matrix movies for one big reason. The piolt/ driver had NO PROTECTION WHATSOEVER. "lets design our main defenses of the city so the user will be totally exposed to enemy fire." They did not even have plexiglass or something, they had nothing. Totally stupid.

Well...in the Animatrix they had big giant robots with armor fighting the machines and it didn't seem to help that much. At all.

When the machines don't have to obey the laws of physics*, there's not much you can do about it.

I swear, the best part about the Animatrix was the Kids Next Door episode it inspired.

I'm seriously annoyed the WB are not contributing anything to this, the lack of commentary is especially grating. Of course their pathetic excuse for not doing so, at least in the past, is what's truly annoying.

Of course, the real reason is because they didn't want to admit the fact that they were liars and theives.

Ah, my people. :)

One can never fully appreciate the value of big ships and robots and said ships and robots blowing up all over the place and blowing other things up. It's an art form really.

my brother and I used to geek-dream about watching a 60 minute Star Wars battle ...

The 40 minutes in Attack of the Clones was pretty close. :)

I think we'll get something even longer in Revenge of the Sith. The final dual between Anakin and Ob-wan should take 10-15 minutes just by itself.

MY DINNER WITH ANDRE - Giant robots talking for two hours would have been so much more intriguing than carbon-based actors.
Kudos!

Now for a little mass-market appeal... how about calling it MY DINNER WITH ANDRE 3000, with voices by Wallace Shawn... and Andre 3000?

I can't wait, and you just rekindled my impatience!!! ... the scene with the two cruisers going broadsides with each other in the trailer looked awesome!
