Detroit Gameday II -- Now with Date!: Dec. 4th

OK, stopped by. October is relatively full on his calendar, and November is even more so. However, December 4th is wide open, so we snagged that slot for the Gameday. Now that the date is firmed up, I'll start another thread soon brainstorming what people want to run, then I'll start a third thread for signing up and all that.

We'll follow the Chicago model, since they've got it working like a well-oiled machine over there...

Detroit Area Game Stores

By the way Detroiters can you help me find some of the game stores in town. I have been in the Dearborn area for two years. I have searched the phonebooks and online to try to find game stores in the area and have come up short.

There's not much in the way of game stores in Dearborn (at least not that I know of). Luckily, there are alot of stores in the area. Here are some of the one's I'm familar with;

*Pandemonium in Garden City off of Middlebelt: Great selection of just about anything...d20, miniatures,etc.....they are a very complete game store. One thing to note, they have a huge section of the store devoted to gaming tables for people to use (often overrun with kids playing the latest greatest CCGs) so they have odd hours. I believe they open at 2pm and close at 10pm during the week.

* Old Guard Hobbies in Garden City off of Ford Road: If you play Warhammer or 40K this is a great place to go (20% all GW stuff). They also have a great selection of d20 stuff (with a well stocked 20% off sale bin).

* Rider's Hobby located in almost everycity (Ypsilanti, Canton, Taylor, Livonia, etc....): Different stores seem to have different focus when it comes to gaming. Some have alot of d20 stuff, some have a little.

* Hobbytown USA in Ann Arbor: Mostly GW stuff and WizKids stuff, with a little d20 thrown in

Unhappiness

ARRGH!!!
December 4th is my wife's family Christmas party.
I missed the first one because I was moving to the tri-cities, now I'll be in the Detroit area, but unable to attend.

I haven't found a group to game with up here and it is driving me crazy.

Unhappily yours,
cj
