Deva and Zenythri

It's just me or Devas were inspired at least a little bit on Zenythris?

Zenythri are planetouched with the blood of lawful neutral planar beings.

Zenythris most resemble perfectly formed humans. They range in height from 5’7 to 6’3 with perfectly smooth skin, evenly shaped bodies, and well-defined muscles. Even their hair naturally forms into the zenythri’s personal style. They are often attractive by human standards, and could easily pass as one if not for the bluish-purple tint to their skin. Some have more unusual features such as metallic colored hair and eyes, or even areas of skin that have hardened into metal.

Dunno. I don't particularly see any link between the 3e Zenythri and the 4e Deva. More a case of similar, independant ideas on some aspects of their appearance. The 4e wanna-be-aasimar look more like Dr. Manhattan to me (but again, almost certainly independant use of a similar appearance).

That said, I rather like Ed Bonny's original backstory for the Zenythri as being descended not from generic LN planar beings, but being descended from the mercane (arcane in 2e PS and SJ).
