Adventurers tend to spend a great deal of time in dark places, from the deepest dungeons and caves to the dark of night hunting, or being hunted by, terrible monsters. For dwarves, half-orcs and other races blessed with darkvision, this is no problem. But for the majority, who aren’t born with such abilities, goggles of night can be a blessing, even a lifesaver.
