Many adventurers have found the Boots of Landing to be an important accessory in their respective careers. Rogues and swashbucklers have used such devices to make dramatic entrances and exits through windows and from rooftops, while the more acrobatic adventurer finds the boots to be an important safeguard in case his vaunted agility fails him. The actual origin of these boots would surprise the student of ancient lore, for they weren’t designed for an intrepid thief’s planned escape nor the cautious showman’s greatest stunt. Instead the Boots of Landing were created by the great maenad swordsman, Nor Dlaj, during his frantic bid for survival on the blasted plane of Skry.
