Update: I rewrote bits of the story to get in more internal dialogue for the main character and modified the ending of part 1 in a slight, but important way.

[sblock]There was a horrified expression on the Sohali’s face as the wizard’s soul left the elf’s body and was shunted back home. The wizard immediately got up and ran, only to be felled by a carefully aimed shot and through the back of the fleeing man’s head just before he vanished into the ship. For a moment, Tonia was sure that Sohali had done it, but then saw that her arm had extended forwards with a finger pointed straight out. She had beaten him to the punch.[/sblock]
I thought it was a good way to showcase her character development.
