If it was from a RPGNow based shop, like EN World is, then you should have gotten an e-mail saying that you can download another free updated version. The only way that you did not get this e-mail is that you stated that you did not want to receive e-mail on products you purchased.

That's weird. Everything else got update emails.

That is ok, as far as I can tell, I did not get an update email either, and I know I purchased this product from rpgnow.

I too have not gotten an update email from rpgnow---i eventried the resend action to see if it would link up w/the revised "cookbook", it doesn't

I didn't get an update email; nor does it show up as "updated" in my "products that have been updated since you last downloaded them" list (under the My Account tab). That link led to the old version.
