yeah, apparently this was originally meant to be released in 2024 and kept getting delayed repeatedly to the point that we still had no KS and do not even have a date for one? That is not inspiring confidence in meNothing during last week's Diablo anniversary event, despite Glass Cannon's presence - very disappointing affair so far.
At BlizzCon 2023, Blizzard Entertainment announced a tabletop roleplaying game and a boardgame based on the Diablo series of video games. The TTRPG is slated for a 2024 crowdfunding campaign
Do we have any news about this, the Kickstarter has not started yet despite the planned date coming and going

I have no idea what’s going on.
I theorize that one reason its taking so long is that they are waiting for BOTH the Paladin AND Warlock from the Lord of Hatred D4 expansion to release so that way they are choosable class options for this. As somebody mentioned before, the class choice for this is probably gonna be D4 focused. Paladin was released as early access last year but Warlock is still coming for the full release. Aside from Binding Demons, we don't know what the D4 Warlock skill set will be.Any time Blizzard says "soon," you have to add two to three years.
I mean, we actually do, in some detail, because IGN accidentally published an extremely long video preview, and whilst they de-published it a bit later, it wasn't until after multiple streamers had done "react" streams to it (which included showing it in full), some of which are still up I believe.Aside from Binding Demons, we don't know what the D4 Warlock skill set will be.
It's possible. I note they didn't even include Spiritborn in the original KS announcement though. So I'd be slightly surprised if they included all three expansion classes in the basic release. Maybe they'll make it part of the KS goals?I theorize that one reason its taking so long is that they are waiting for BOTH the Paladin AND Warlock from the Lord of Hatred D4 expansion to release so that way they are choosable class options for this.
Also, for what it is likely to make moneywise, it just probably is not a real big priority for Blizzard (who even if not actually making the game probably has some pretty stringent review requirements).I can't imagine they really intend to directly mirror a CRPG's rules -- those all tend to be far fiddlier than a human can handle at the table.
I think this is just generic RPG industry delays.
