Hello everyone. Dice Coins Reborn is coming to Kickstarter on Tuesday, Sept 10 at 10:00 am EST.

Dice Coins combine elements of a dice and a coin so you can generate random numbers by spinning the coin on a base and stopping it with your finger. A marker line on the base indicates the result.

All characters and monsters are depicted on d20 Dice Coins. In the majority of RPG systems, d20's are used to determine hits, saving throws, skill checks, etc. It is the most important dice.

The d20 can literally represent your character or it can represent something that has meaning for your character.

Fantasy battle scenes are depicted on the d4, d6, d8, d10, and d12 Dice Coins with art themed towards weapons that are used for that dice type.

You can get more information and preview the Kickstarter page at this link: Kickstarter Preview

We are also happy to answer any questions. Below are some photos.

These dice coins are cool. How are they used? After a flip, how does one precisely determine which number to use?

You have to go to the kickstarter page. I was curious so...

You put the coin on a plastic(?) base and spin the coin, which looks like it would spin for a long, long time.

Then you stop the spin with your fingers, in this case you got an 18.

Looks cool, honestly not sure if I'd want it because of how I roll multiple dice at once. On the other hand one of my players happened to mention it last time we played. :)

Thank you for answering the question. I appreciate that. The base is metal, just like the coin. The coin will spin for a long time but no one wants to wait for that. So you stop it within 2-3 seconds - like shaking a dice in your hand before you roll. I am a dice collector and dice work very well. Of course, you are correct that if you need multiple rolls, a dice is more efficient. You can do two spins really quick with the Dice Coins, but dice do win out in that aspect. Basically, in my biased opinion as the creator, they offer a more immersive experience than dice. Plus no wandering dice.
