Dice from the Red Basic Edition Set

I've got the dice from a later edition of the Basic set (from some time in the early 1990s). I'm not sure if this is the same set you mean though. The edition of the game my dice came from was the one were Dwarf, Elf, Halfling, etc. were all classes. The boxed set I had included the rules booklet, a map, a pack of cards (somewhere around 50 of them) to help teach you the rules mechanics, a bunch of fold up counters for monsters and players (which I still use on occaision ) and a set of dice. The dice are still the best rolling ones I've ever owned.

They didn't include a white crayon, so they may not be the ones you mean. Here's a brief rundown:

- green D20
- blue D10

(Whoa, after actually looking at my dice collection, those are the only two from that set I still have )

My favorite die though still has to be a clear blue D4 that's older than I am. My mom played 1E back in the day.

I had the old "pink" set (more like magenta) which I'm guessing is the same set.. The dice were more fragile.. lighter.. and that d4 was a lot pointier than they are now.. All of my dice from that set are long gone, alas... they were all yellow, except for the d12, which was red.

I miss those dice...

The old red Basic Set? Two books, players book started with a mini-adventure in which you were a fighter, chasing Bargle?

My copy of that set had blue dice - I think I still have almost a full set - hmm, nope, missing a d8 and maybe others. Darn, where have my dice wandered off to?
