There was a bowl of dice the size of a punch bowl and you couls scoop a coffee mug full of random dice for like $9 or an entire pitchers worth for $15.
*sniff* It was beautiful man. :D

But here's the thing...if you paid more (I think it was $26 for a mug and something like $50 for a pitcher), you could pick, instead of just scoop. Several times I saw some folks who were very slowly filling the pitcher, cherry-picking through the bowl, looking for the best dice.

I'm so below the dice poverty-line:

*One set of black dice with white numbers, including two d10s - one yellow, one black.
*One set of rainbow colored dice (each die a different color) given as a gift about a running gag of me being gay (I'm not), or at least a metrosexual (I am :D).
*One massive d6, black, white numbers.
*The two red and gold d6's from HeroQuest.

And that's it.

I have enough to make one set, a d30, and a few random dice. I sold all the rest to someone who had none.

It reminds me of a kids show I saw called Recess, and in one episode there was this whole thing where stickers became a form of currency, and everyone was trading them until one guy came along and got all the stickers.

Except you were nice enough to donate your dice, and I haven't seen anyone trading dice yet. Yet. :)

You want to know what's frightening? That looks like but a small fraction of diaglo's dice collection. I swear that man is personally keeping Chessex in business ... Paladin needs to send him a bunch more dice bags, because the ones he has aren't near big enough.

The coolest thing, for me, about that display, was that they had a case full of frosted dice, with a set of lights beneath the cases that made them glow. I'll have to check if I got shots of that.
