Dice!

I've always liked Koplow and Chessex. My Koplow dice have lasted about 12 years now.

I need some unique dice; may have to give those Q-Workshop dice a look.

The Chessex look like the easiest to read, to me... The Gamescience I can't really read, from the picture. The Otherworld set is impossible to read (appear to be inked in gold, which never works, for me). I'll probably go with the Chessex, as they're cheap. I'll look around and see if I can find a set inked in silver...

Thanks again! ;)

I want my old d10's back!!

What I miss are the old D10's. You know, the 20 siders with 1 to 10 twice. I loved them, and they all got phased out, presumably because people whinged about about getting them confused with the D20's. I just saw it as another opportunity to roll d20's!! :)
I always hated the new ones - apart from anything else the are the only dice that aren't totally symmetrical.

World most precise die

"World most precise die"

http://www.tanomi.com/limited/html/00015.html

* Made of very pure titanium.

* 12 mm each side

* Precision of distance between cubic center to each six face centers are 99.99999999% in design theory. It's "nano" order. Unfortunately, we can't prove this in actual measurement, for it's over our measurement limit.

* Mass of each six (hypothetical) pyramids meet in 99.99999999% acuracy, also in design theory.
(Six pyramids make a cube, so matching of these mass is important for proper rolling. Look this image )

* For proper aerodynamics, numbers are drawn as very low (10 micro meters) relief.

* 49,875 yen for two dice and leather pouch.
(Now one dollar = about 115 yen, so 49,875 yen = about 433 dollars)

I'm not sure they can ship abroad or not.

Oh man, don't get me started on Dice. I'm a real Dice Wierdo, and proud of my collection. They aren't the most expensive dice, but each one is not only translucent, but hand picked for their unique feel. No, not roll or texture, I have to "feel" the dice. Its a thing. Oh, and I have exactly 42 dice in my personal set.

I attached a picture of my babies. I hand picked each of them from bins. I've been collecting this set for about 12 years. I could never ever buy dice online.

In fact, I'm so freekie about my dice that I have about five sets of "ugly" dice in a bag I use for loaning, someone ALWAYS forgets their dice. I lost a d20 once, and its killed me ever since.

Got my Dragon Dice

Well, got my Dragon Dice (see link for picture http://q-workshop.com/products.php?lang=EN&sell_type=DETAL&currency=EUR&category=Dragons White-brown ) the other day. (Really quickly considering they are coming from Poland and quote a relatively long lead time- they must be under promising & over delivering).

They are really unusual and nice looking so i am very pleased. Hopefully, due to the darker colour on white background, they will still be practical at the table. It can't be helped, but the only die that I reckon COULD be a little difficult to make out would be the D20 (ulp...) as the faces are so small and they have to fit the dragon around the number. Still, it still makes a great looking set. I am looking forward to road testing it and receiving the admiration of my friends when i play this week ;) .
