did anyone else see the Cartoon Network Star Wars short?

I liked it well enough. One of the things in the plus column for this episode was that Anakin didn't get any dialogue :p

Seriously though, I think the short format may actually work out for this reason: with as little time alotted per episode, it really leaves little room for stupid and extraneous stuff (Do we need to mention Jar Jar? I knew we didn't.). It forces them to focus more on the action and the core plot. Yeah, the first ep left some of us wondering if that was it, but it's just the start of things. I suspect that things will pick up before too long.

Besides, it'll put the theory that the prequel stuff wouldn't suck so much if someone else was writing and/or directing to the test.

I agree though that 3 minutes (?!) is too short. even for a short.
Per the newspaper article, Lucas wanted them to be 1 minutes shorts. The animiator said he wouldn't do it unless they were at least 3.

1 minute? 1 minute?! WTF?!...what is Lucas smoking? or maybe he Needs to smoke something.

1 minute...oh man- Whats the point?! No wonder he will never get epsidoes 7 8 and 9 made! crackpot....

Glad they didn't listen to him,
The preview would have been 1 second long instead of 3...haha!!

I was definately getting a Samurai Jack vibe off the show, with the way the jedi fought, but that could just be because I know it was the same guy. But hey that is likely why they picked him is because he can do Big Action!
Not just you. I didn't even see it, but as soon as I saw the preview I said to myself, "Man, that looks just like Samurai Jack!"

More proof that Lucas has absolutely no clue what to do with Star Wars any more.

To me it looks more like the animation for the Clerks Animated Series.

Although I can see Samurai Jack in it too, which I realize is because Genndy Tartakovsky is involved in both of them. ;)

It looked like Dexter's Lab animation to me...oh yeah, that's also Gennedy!

I thought it was great. My interest in Star Wars has wanned with LOTR and Matrix, and now I am starting to look forward to it again (because of these cartoons).

Hmmm...can't view the online chapter since I do not live in the US.

Why bother putting things online if you are simply going to restrict access to it?

Its restriced to only US residents? That seems rather odd.
