For those of you using the dnd4e combat tracker, here is the work-around to making the monsters display correctly, using the Rage Devil from MM3 (scrubbed all actual data to keep the mods and Wots happy) -- This is cross-posted from my RPGnet post:

____

Going to use the Rage Devil as an example.

Here is how it looks in the tracker, when you upload it (I scrubbed data to hopefully not anger the copywright gods):

Rage Devil
Level 11 Brute • XP 600
Large immortal humanoid (devil)

Initiative +7
HP xxx; Bloodied xx
AC xx; Fortitude xx; Reflex xx; Will xx
Resist xx fire
Speed 6

Perception +9

Darkvision

Traits

Blood Rage

The rage devil deals xxx extra damage against bloodied enemies.

Standard Actions

m Disrupting Maul (weapon) • At-Will

Attack:

Melee 2 (one creature; +xx vs. xx)

C Maul Storm (weapon) • At-Will

Attack:

Close Burst 2 (enemies in burst; +xx vs. xx)

M Demonscourge Crush • Recharge xx

Attack:

Melee 2 (one creature; +xx vs. xxx)

Alignment evil
Skills Athletics +xx, Endurance +xx

Str xx (+x) Dex xx (+x) Wis xx (+x)
Con xx (+x) Int xx (-x) Cha xx(+x)

Equipment maul

To edit, go to the statblock library and double-click on the monster.

The main issue is the powers section. The new layout adds lines that the tracker doesn't recognize, causing the explosion.

Remove Perception and Darkvision - Add that information to the Senses Section on the left side of the window.

Remove: Traits, Standard Action, and attack listed powers. Those are the borders for the formatting and don't have any information.

Now it should look something like this:

Rage Devil
Level 11 Brute • XP 600
Large immortal humanoid (devil)

Initiative +7 Senses Darkvision, Insight X
Resist xx fire
Speed 6

Blood Rage

The rage devil deals xxx extra damage against bloodied enemies.

m Disrupting Maul (weapon) • At-Will

Melee 2 (one creature; xx vs. xx)

C Maul Storm (weapon) • At-Will

Close Burst 2 (enemies in burst; xx vs. xx)

M Demonscourge Crush • Recharge 4

Melee 2 (one creature; xx vs. xxx)

Alignment evil
Skills Athletics xx Endurance xx

Next, the powers need to be edited to display properly.

Bloodrage is a trait the character has against bloodied creatures.

Copy the text out of "The rage devil deals xxx extra damage against bloodied enemies" and paste that into the description under blood Rage. Then delete the power listed with "The rage devil deals xxx extra damage against bloodied enemies".

That's how you do a trait.

For an attack power, it's similar. Copy the Damage section power into the description. Add "at-will" to the actions line, and any keywords go below that in the keywords line. Delete the damage power, keeping the named one (shown below

before
m Disrupting Maul (weapon) • At-Will

Melee 2 (one creature; xx vs. xx)

After
m Disrupting Maul (at-will) • Weaopn
Melee 2; one creature; xx vs. xx

Do this with each power and the tracker will display properly
like shown:

Rage Devil
Level 11 Brute • XP 600
Large immortal humanoid (devil)

Initiative +7 Senses Darkvision, Insight X
Resist xx fire
Speed 6

Blood Rage (at-will)
The rage devil deals xxx extra damage against bloodied enemies.

m Disrupting Maul (at-will) • Weaopn
Melee 2; one creature; xx vs. xx

C Maul Storm (at-will) • Weapon
Close Burst 2; enemies in burst; xx vs. xx

M Demonscourge Crush (Recharge 4) • Weapon
Melee 2; one creature; xx vs. xxx

Alignment evil
Skills Athletics xx Endurance xx

Oog, that's a lot of work compared to the two-step copy to RTF, paste into Statblock Library process. I'll hold out for an update of the program.

Well, it is a bit of work, but it's not as much as that makes it out to be. It only takes a minute or so.

Unfortunately, the designer isn't currently working on the tool at all, so an update may not happen (forcing me to start praying for an Adventure Tool that does this in the near future)

Yeah, I do appreciate having the how-to, just in case. ^.^

If you check the discussion page on the DnD4eCM wiki, though, there are at least two people who have stepped up to fill in for the original developer, so hopefully it'll get patched up soon. Props to Mortaneus for making the source code available, and to DarkSir and Krieger for pitching in to help!

[Farnsworth]Good news, everyone![/farnsworth]

Thanks to a one, Darksir at RPG.net, the D&D Combat Tracker tool has been updated and is importing the monsters in the new statblock.
