as a campaign setting it was very weak.

but as a monster supplement for say savage species it could have worked.

it just didn't work. at all.

I don't know the book. I always assumed it was supposed to be a poor man's substitute for the Wraith RPG using the D&D rules. My assumption may be totally off, but I cannot remember it being advertised as anything else so I've never been really interested in it.
 

Honestly...it was meh at best.

The afterlife section is quite possibly the single most lame thing ever published by WotC, though. Heck, it makes a lime-green vaguely medical waiting room with outdated magazines, flickering fluorescent lights, and tinny Muzak seem almost compelling by comparison.
