dimensional anchor SR: yes/no?

Is dimensional anchor affected by spell resistance? The spell's listing says, "SR: Yes (Object)." This doesn't seem to make any sense. If it is truly Yes (Object), then that would mean if I cast it on a sword or something (why would you even do this?), it would get a check, but on a DEMON or like creature (for which the spell is pretty much intended) it would not? Is this a misprint or something? Advice welcome!

Yes, it is affected by SR. It seems you've misunderstood what "SR: Yes (Object)" means. See the comments on "(object)" under "Saving Throw" and under "Spell Resistance" on pg.177 of the 3.5 PHB.

In short, what "SR: Yes (Object)" means is that the spell can be cast on objects as well as on creatures, and that if cast on an object, it uses its SR (if it has any) or, if attended, the SR of the attending creature (if it has any).

Brilliant; thank you. This is easily the fastest and most concise response I've ever gotten to a question posted on these boards! :)

I disagree with Shilsen.... I think that the '(object)' parameter is the recipient's response after you cast it on them... they OBJECT, strenuously! ;)

'I strenuously object'? Is that how it works? Objection. Overruled. No, no, no, no, I strenuously object. Oh, well if you strenuously object, let me take a moment to reconsider.
