Dimensional Lock vs. Spell Resistance

Hi folks, tried to do some searching but I keep getting an error page...

I'm trying to figure out how an area under a dimensional lock would affect a creature with spell resistance. Would the creature be subject to a check on entering the area, and if it fails the creature can teleport, plane shift, etc. in the area of the dimensional lock? Unlike a lot of spells allowing spell resistance, dimensional lock is an area effect, not targetted at a creature.

Thanks for any insight, sorry if this has been asked and answered already.

You check as soon as the creature is in the area (or when he wants to use a forbidden magic if it's easier) if the check fails he can do what he wants, the spell failed to affect him.
