Dire Weasels

What is going on when a Dire Weasel is "attached"? Is he grappling? CAN he grapple? If he's not grappling, what is he doing?

CAN a Dire Weasel grapple and attach? Say, a Druid wildshaped into a Dire Weasel? Can he attach while grappling?

Is this one of those annoying cases where there are rules for performing a certain action, but they decided to make DIFFERENT rules to do the same thing just to mess with yer mind.

It's one of those annoying cases. It doesn't explicitly say that the weasel is grappling, but it's definitely the easiest way to rule it, with the caveat of the special means to escape the grapple of a dire weasel.

So, my take is that when a dire weasel Attaches, it and its victim are now considered grappling.
