[DireKobold] GenCon Costume Pics (and new adventure)

EOL

First Post
One of the guys I brought to GenCon with me (a guy by the name of Josh) was fascinated by anybody in a costume. So much so that he would often be giving a DireKobold demo, and would see someone in costume, stop mid-sentence and run after them. But my loss is your gain and he just got done putting everything together so that we now have well over 100 pictures of people in costume from last weeks GenCon. You can find them at:

In other news after much sloth and even greater procrastination the latest Xenogenic Adventure has been posted. It’s a great adventure unworthy of being wired up and published by a schlub like me, but as a full-time freelancer like Luke Johnson sometimes you have to work with what you’ve got. Incidently Luke lives right here in Salt Lake not more then ten or fifteen minutes away from where I live. (See the Interview where he was forced to admit that.) As such up until this most recent GenCon he was one of the few freelancers I had met in person, but I’m sure you want to hear about the adventure.

It’s called She Loves Me Not. It was originally designed for four 3rd level characters but of course you can use the Xenogenic System to scale it for anything from 1-12 characters of 1-7 level. The players stumble onto a lovers quarrel. Moved by the husbands plight they agree to fetch a truly spectacular gift. A Dark Lily which only grows deep in a dungeon infested with goblins as worse. Perhaps my favorite thing about this adventure is the unique creatures the party encounters including an intelligent ooze familiar, which has to been seen to be appreciated. I think it’s our longest adventure and as such it’s chock full with interesting characters, amazing encounters and deadly traps. The demo snippet for the adventure is up for those of you that are still kicking the tires.

When will your adventures be 3.5 compatible?
The one right before this last one "Rain For All Tomorrows" by Wil Upchurch was fully a 3.5 adventure, and his next ones will be as well. It's going to probably take me a little while but what will eventually happen is that generating it as a 3.0 or a 3.5 adventure will just be one more option, so you'll be able to choose.
