dirty tricks attempts

Binho

First Post
I was making characters just for fun and encountered some doubts that I think someone here could know:

1- I was wondering if I could use the turn attempts of the air/earth/fire/water domain granted power to use the devotion feats. If so, the planar touchstone feat would be handy for wizards.

2- Unseen seer gives sneak attack?

3- how would fell drain feat would be if applied to a spell that last longer than 1 round, like flaming sphere and acid fog? Would it cause 1 negative level per round?

4- minor shape shift = infinite temporary hit points?

5- do the feats circle kick, lightning fists, knock-down, power lunge and mantis leap from Sword and Fist book have a version 3.5?

6- combat brute + leap attack + brutal strike + shock trooper + shield bash, how does the power attack damage bonus work?

7- Does the Red Avenger have a version 3.5 that don't sucks?

8- Snowcasting + Energy Substitution(fire) + Blistering Spell + Fell Drain = every spell cause level drain?

People who knows any of the questions, please share it with me!
Thanks in advance =)

1. No.
2. It advances sneak attack.
3. I believe it would only apply once.
4. They don't stack.
5. Circle Kick was renamed Roundabout Kick and nerfed to the point of uslessness. Knock Down is unchanged.
6. Only Leap Attack affects the damage you deal. A shield counts as a one handed weapon for shield bashes.
7. No.
8. It's easier to use the Flash Frost feat.

4. They don't stack.

But they are lost first, and it is swift action to put that up again, so you are actually with fast healing equal to your HD.

5. Circle Kick was renamed Roundabout Kick and nerfed to the point of uslessness. Knock Down is unchanged.

Roundabout Kick is from CW. Where is Knock Down?
Lightning Fist are worse than Side Kick, but this one is from Tomes of Battle, book that I don't have access.

6. Only Leap Attack affects the damage you deal. A shield counts as a one handed weapon for shield bashes.

That's not what I meant. Leap Attack and Combate Brute alter the power attack damage bonus, that alters the CD of Brutal Strike, but how? And when I said Shield Bash, I was talking about Shield Charge, my mistake, sorry... and it still don't work like I was thinking: it gives a trip attempt, I was after a free bull rush, to combo with shock troop and combat brute. After all that I'm still searching some feat that combo charge and bull rush. Oh, there is still the problem of changing power attack damage bonus to AC, how that would affect the CD of Brutal Strike?

How bad... I liked the flavor of a ki user. And that feats in the PHII are worthless, just to comment.

8. It's easier to use the Flash Frost feat.
Yeh, I realize that now. But how would it affect conjurations like sumons, weapons, ilusions (chilling mirror image?)??? Lord of utter cold and create undead???

Thank you for the answer

Knock Down

Unless they somehow change interest rates, I doubt very much that Brutal Strike's CD will be affected. And even then, only if Brutal Strike was unwise enough to purchase a variable rate CD.

I was after a free bull rush, to combo with shock troop and combat brute. After all that I'm still searching some feat that combo charge and bull rush.
The Knockback feat from Races of Stone.

Oh, there is still the problem of changing power attack damage bonus to AC, how that would affect the CD of Brutal Strike?
The Leap Attack feat does not work that way.

Combat Brute momentous swing doesn't add into power attack it's a separate bonus with its own system of increasing. All it does is add damage in the attacks after you charged in the next round. Personally, invest in feats that can increase damage on the first charge so you aren't dependent on the victim still being there on your next turn.
You are wondering whether leap attacking with a two-handed weapon can 6xsacrificed BAB to the save DC, right? Well, brutal strike says from the power attack feat and leap attack just triples that damage so no.
Well, if you temporary hit points keep getting knocked down by something than it is beneficial, otherwise you are just renewing the duration of the effect. Temporary hit points don't stack as they function the same way so they overlap. It is why one competence bonus doesn't stack with the same competence bonus.

Oh, thanks for the answers. So the DC isn't affected by other feats, how sad... And using shock trooper with brutal strike would nerf the DC anyways.

So knock down is unchanged? That means I can hit someone after I get the free trip succefull with improved trip? And I can cleave too? That would be awesome, and added to Robilar's Gambit this means some tricks. But I can't find the book that update it. This site discuss about it too, but I failed to see the knock down feat at the updates suggested Knock-Down [Archive] - Giant in the Playground Forums

And what about (8)? That is mecanically weird, but it could make some conjurations spells more powerfull and illusions that cause damage.

I first thought about Blistering Spell because I like fire most. I know that, after the feat piercing cold, cold is the best element, but I like the flavor of fire spells. Don't you know some feat or class that duplicate the effect of piercing cold for other elements?

4. I hear the Dragonfire Adept can do this.

Dragonfire Adept has invocations like the Warlock, so the class can use it's invocations endlessly.

The Greater Invocation Draconic Toughness, accessable by the class at level 11, allows you to gain temporary hitpoints equal to your caster level. this temporaory hitpoints last for 24 hours. If you use the invocation again, it resets.

Not incredibly powerful, but a standard action hitpoint reset.
