Disappearing Dice

I'm really anal when it comes to my dice. I HATE losing them and (knock on wood) have only lost one of the really small d8s I used to have.

I LOVE glow in the dark stuff, especially dice. My yellow glow d8 is worn and I need another glow green d6.

I've only been able to see the orange and blue glow dice sold in bulk from a plastic manufacturing place in China. Minimum order is something like 10,000 pieces. I don't need that many dice. lol

I'm going to give someone some money to find some at gen con for me because I'm not able to go this year.

Koplow makes the d6's with pips, but nothing that is a glow in the dark polyhedral otherwise.

That'll at least give you a price idea and such. I have ordered from GS a few times and have never had a complaint about them.

I know, those are different than the ones I have.

My dice look like these:

You can also see the orange one in that pic as well. :)
The difference being the black vs white numbers. Among others.

I'd love to find a set of these:

Anyone want to buy some bulk dice with me? ROFL
jk.

You only had ONE set of dice?

N00b :p

Yes I did, and now I don't.

Dice are expensive (although by my standards anything I have to pay for is expensive) so 1 was good for me. Now 2 is more than good enough for me. In most situations.

I might get a third set if my players reach levels where I'll frequently be rolling 10d6 for the enemy monster HP or something (and I know which dice I'm getting when I reach that point too, sort of a shiny white set), but that will have to wait for the necessity of more dice, my next paycheque or two, and a few more rulebooks that have higher priority to be bought than extra dice.

I love dice. The last time I was at GenCon I bought one of the pitcher's 'o dice from the Chaosium booth in the dealer's hall.

I have dice that I use just as a player (and are not shared), and dice that I use just as a GM. The ones that I use as a GM can also be used by others who may have forgotten to bring their dice (and yes, it happens with the younger crowd).

Fortunately, I can't say I've ever lost any dice. I did have dice that were lost for me though! Government contracted movers have lost a lot of things when I was in the service.

Well, not just dice actually; lots of little things go missing and don't turn up until right after I needed them.

....

Of course within minutes of getting home and opening up the new dice package I found the missing set beneath my Guitar Hero guitar. Isn't it weird how things always seem to go like that?

Gnomes. It is the gnomes, I tell you.

You really should clean up your room more often. I bet you'll find all kinds of things that you forgot about.

And my room happens to be very clean by the way!

It's just... Gaming (both RPG gaming and videogaming) takes place in the living room, which is less clean because I have three housemates that share the main rooms with me, and who don't keep things as tidy as I do.

I have my personal set of dice and a pound of dice I bought when I first started dming. I used to have another set, the official 4e set, but they disappeared almost a year ago now so I don't think they are turning back up, and I think a pocket might have preformed that disappearing trick, but I only miss them because they were my first set.

Also, I love that you can buy dice by the pound :)
