NPC classes avail / not avail to PCs?

For example, if I wanted my 'PC' to be someone who lives in the town rather than an adventurer...

Arken, don't worry about it... however, failing to have a Merchant god, what do you think about writing one up yourself If we lack one?

Arcady, I've got absolutley no problem with NPC classes. Couple things, if you were a DM with an NPC, I'd allow it to advance at least partially because of your work there at times. But, in order to advance as a normal adventurer, your going to need to find a DM for your shop adventures. An adventure might be as simple as crafting a masterwork sword for a fighter, etc.

So basically what I'm saying is, I'm fine with it, but I can't tell you how it will work till I get a little bit farther with the game.

I'm going to go open the Tavern now. Post may take a few moments to type up...

after gaving read through the entire post (partially again) from my perspective it looks as though each tavern/town is probably going to need a DM to oversee the "day to day operations" of it

this would allow for npc's classes as characters very easily and allow for the pc's to interact with a more "living environment" and probably help take some of the stress out of the individual DM's running "major" adventures...

overall it looks to be chaping up nicely though and with races I think that allowing other 0 level races as available classes would help to add more diversity as the game progresses

I don't have any really good ideas for a level 1 character right now, but I voulenteer to play "bartender" for the first tavern just to make sure things run smothly handle anything that needs handling that kind of thing. Just offering my services someone can take it if they really want.

The Red Dragon Inn is now open for public posting.

The following people are registered bartenders (DMs) for the Red Dragon Inn
creamsteak
GaryH
Casar Couer de' Lion (he asked me what he could do to help, this is it right now)

*creamsteak is now going to go pack his bags for college. I'll be back anytime, randomly, but not right away. Gary, if you find the thread needs another bartender/dm to keep things going smoothly till I get back, pick a good willing guy to help out. When I get back, and I'm ready, I'll start raising things up a notch. If someone, as a DM, is ready to take some people on an adventure... then you need to email GaryH and any other judges (Uriel if he accepts, for instance) to get approval. Email me as well, I just won't be able to pick up on it right away.

It would be an honour, I'll get to work on one if you want. I don't ahve access to Dieties and Demigods at the moment though so it will jsut be a standard write up. :)

Feel free to use my template above (Hyrag) if you'd like. It'd probably be easiest if we all followed a standard method, and I just pulled mine out of Faiths and Pantheons. We don't need actual came stats for the dieties, just the info I have for Hyrag.

Looking forward to seeing the merchant god!
