My other issue is I wanted to try to drag my "lil'sis" along (well, she wanted to come too), and this adventure doesn't seem quite right for it.

She's asked me to go with her, so I probably will have to bow out unless you can convince Rosalynn to go.

ooohhh.... more cha....

well, there's a masterworked rapier on the table, and if the two of you wantedto be a team (or work with the big meatshield... er half orc.... ;)

Also, there was a bit of posturing in the tavern, which makes me wonder if we ever got a tavern judge on board? I think there was a good moment for "joe" to step in and lay down a little law rather than letting things sit in that unhappy balance between letting players attack each other and players being asses because other players won't attack them. :\

As I rather resemble that remark, shall I pull the character?
I'm not terribly attached to Michael yet, and it's easiest to do it now, before he gets integrated into things.

well, your character did make an offer to drop it if he would drop the attitude and the other character kept it up, so I took sides and Petra disinvited the shaper. ;) micheal looks like a potentially good fit for the adventure.

That's why we were hoping for the position of team medic.
Sadly, gladiatorial style is pretty far removed from anything Michael can do.
Though he can hit things...it just doesn't look terribly cool.

as someone with a possitive cha, you are actually near the front of the line on this one, so please don't bow out. Petra is going to crack down and make some direct offers in just a bit.

Just for the record, I hope you don't take Zaeryl's actions to mean that I am a fractious player or something. For what its worth, Michael was defending my other character against this one :) Anyways, Zaeryl wanted to use his money to pay off Petra's debt, but if she's not going to respect his right to freedom of speech, then not any more, so it looks like no adventure for him :(

I think he might mean "approvals" not "comments" here.
That's how it usually works out.

might be interesting if we get competing proposals in the Inn... 3 different offers.
I've always been curious about how that'd look.*

*Note: Not an invititation.

well that was my summary.
Not quite a good summary, you must admit. ;)

I'd like to not recruit while Zaeryl is in the inn, though, because it would complicate things and he might want to take my hook, for IC reasons. So I'll wait for him to leave first :)
I think it should go without saying that your own characters should not end up in your own adventures. ;)

Also, there was a bit of posturing in the tavern, which makes me wonder if we ever got a tavern judge on board?
Last I heard Sparky was responsible, but a recruiting DM is imho well within his rights to "NPC" Joe for a post or so to restore order. I don't think we want to see a repeat of a certain event.

He probably looks as good as I do, and who knows, could be a team thing.

Your call, it's ultimately an RPG, so have fun which ever way you want.

Note to Judges: I have a new character who needs approval. I'd like to try to get him in the next incoming adventure if I could (And then I'll recruit for my adventure). There seemed to be a lack of fighters about and awake, so I made one.

a sweet thought, but Petra's pretty happy with her situation. ;)

While I don't assume you to be a fractious player, that interaction did play as a fractious character. I'm all for playing your character and minimizing metagaming, but there comes a time when you have to tone it down a bit or force everyone else to metagame by not beating his ass. :p We had an incident (probably well before you joined) that lead to the understanding that PvP would not occur without the consent of both players, but that this shouldn't be an excuse to be insufferable.

I'm pretty sure there is no right to "freedom of speech without risk of pummling" on Enworld, and Petra would have pretty reasonable fear of your character getting summarily gutted by some higher level gladiators with less patience than Micheal with her very breif example of his behavior.

So, nothing personal, but your character will be judged by his action even if you as a player aren't.
