Disguise

No, I don't think you can hide the wings. They are certainly much bigger than the 1 foot, which is the limit of the change.

Also note, that it would be pathetically easy to see through the illusory disguise, if interacted with, that is, if you travel in a group and want to fool them, the hat won't work well.

It's great to hide your appearance, but you have to avoid interacting with people, since...

A creature that interacts with the glamer gets a Will save to recognize it as an illusion.

And the save DC is only 11 for the hat.

Yeah, but he claims to have the Outsider Wings feat... so his friends knows about the wings.

The Disguise Self spell also says that you can make yourself - including armor, weapons and equipment look different. (......) otherwise the extent of the change is up to you.

Isn't it conceivable that he can disguise his wings as a large cloak?

Aha, well, that works, of course, if he chooses a disguise capable of having wings.

I don't think so, no. The wings do not lay flat on the back, and they are most probably rather big, too.

In any case, the hat simply does not allow to keep up the disguise during interaction (talk and such). That has to be avoided, which is about impossible in an adventuring party.

Half-shadow dragons gets wings when medium as well.

I have read the section about Glamers.. and am still confused.. I always thought "interacts" meant "physically" touching it. Are you saying that if a Disguised Self character talks with someone else, they get a saving throw? And based on what? SHould the voice of a half-dragon be that different than a tiefling's?

The Glamer paragraph also says that a wil disbelief save is given when someone studies the illusion carefully. This pretty vague, I would say. Should his companions get a save simply for being in the same adventuring group as him, having been around him for several days now? Or does the players need to say: "I study X carefully."

Well, he may just "hide" them in folded position... releasing them as wings when flying.. his friends think that he is a tiefling so he has to hide his wings. So he hides his wings and disguises as an elf when in cities and such.
