So, I'm at home watchin' Kim Possible... (pauses allowing that to sink in) ...and I think this could make a cool d20 game for kids. You have Kim, a pretty athletic teenager whose father is a scientist, and she fights crime. Her companions are Ron Stoppable, an awkward socially unsure kid whose best friend aside from kim is his nake mole rat, and Wade, a pimply faced genius who communicates with them from a secret base somewhere. The criminals include all kinds of baddies, who would fit pretty well into a James Bond movie actually.

Maybe its not enough to make a whole book. Certainly all the concepts are in d20 Modern already. Its about marketing though. Brand recognition.

Its not that far fetched I think. Disney recently joined with Square to make Kingdom Hearts, which features Final Fantasy like characters and Disney charaters side by side. What would ya'll think of a Disney D20 franchise.

I'm not suggesting any of us make one, free or not. Disney would certainly protect their copyrights vigorously. What I'm asking is could products like this be viable, and what, if anything would it do for the industry?

I dunno about you guys, but I felt Disney's Aladdin TV series was the best D&D style series I'd ever seen on TV.

I can trace much of my love of fantasy to seeing Sleeping Beauty at the theater (first-run); the scene where the evil Fae queen transforms into the giant dragon and the heroic prince throws the sword, skewering her in the heart... man. I am not embarrased to say that when I saw the feat 'Throw Anything' in Sword and Fist, I thought of that scene
