We got a little difference in the meaning of this spell:
most others say, the bonus on dispel checks can be incresed by augmenting by 2 per power point (meaning as lvl 11 guy u can spend 11 power points .... you augment it for 5 power points and get a +10 bonus - meaning u get a +20 bonus on dispel checks (crazy in my opinion))
i'd say, the maximum bonus you can get is getting increased by 2 per power point used for augmenting - meaning as lvl 11 guy u can augment for another point to get the full bonus of 11 on dispel checks instead of 10 which is the normal cap (so u can get a max bonus of 10 (for 5 powerpoints), 12 (6), 14 (7), 16 (8), 18 (9), 20 (10))

I give 50% probability of "editing error" and 50% probability "Idiot design", but as it's written, the augmentation is a bonus to your check. So that 10th level Psion running a fully augmented Dispel Psionics (5 points of augmentation for +10 to the check) is dispelling at 1d20+20 (+10 base effect of the power at manifester level 10+, +10 augmentation bonus). That 15th level Psion augmenting fully is dispelling at 1d20+30 (+10 base effect of the power at manifester level 10+, +20 Augmentation bonus).

It's got balance issues, yes.

It's a pretty common consensus that your view is intended, but the others' view is correct via RAW.

Whenever I use it or have it in a game, i go with the "increases the max bonus" rather than "increases the bonus"
