Displacement & Magic Missle

Bob the fighter just drank a potion of displacement. William the Warmage then casts Magic Missle at Bob. Is the MM affected at all by displacement? From the SRD description of displacement, total cover and magic missle it is not clear to me.

No. Total Concealment and Total Cover negate a magic missile. That's because you require line of sight to target an enemy. With Displacement, the text specifically says that enemies can 'target' you normally, and so a magic missile will automatically hit. Displacement is not equivalent to Total Concealment.

Hmmm...

The subject of this spell appears to be about 2 feet away from its true location. The creature benefits from a 50% miss chance as if it had total concealment. However, unlike actual total concealment, displacement does not prevent enemies from targeting the creature normally.

The key point is, I believe, the last sentence.

If you can target a creature, you can hit it. Magic Missile is not affected by concealment (because it does not have a to hit roll), and therefore can hit a displaced creature normally.
