Divine Might/Divine Shield

First Post
I'm a little confused on how these work since Complete Warrior came out.

Divine Might is now a free action (in the book text, even) and lasts one round.

Divine Shield is a standard action and now lasts 1 round/lvl. Divine Shield's prerequisites were changed to not require anything but some stats and a shield proficiency.

Is that right?

Obviously I do not have Complete Warrior available right now or I could just look it up.

Thanks for your help.

So it went from lasting 1 round per point of Charisma bonus to one round, period?

NARF!

For Divine Might, yes. But it also went to a free action, which it only was before by arbitrary decision of the Sage (Skip Williams). I'll still use it quite a bit.

Very important: Divine Shield no longer gives an enhancement bonus to your shield, but an unnamed bonus to the Shields AC !!! So it's become a worse feat for the shield bashers, but a better one for the high AC characters.

A cleric can easily cast his shield to +5, and with 20 charisma, can get a shield that adds +12 (+2 heavy steel +5 enhancement +5 charisma) to AC.

How would you rate the DotF feats before the change, Divine Might in particular, were they overpowered or just strong?
I'm glad the Complete Warrior changed the duration.

Divine Might was pretty strong as a free action (by the strange Sage ruling) and IMHO balanced as a standard action. YMMV though.

I'm glad, not necessarily about the change but about the clear wording ;)

Perhaps not fair but the Paladin of my player has a charisma of 18 and taken into account that we normally don´t have more than one or two battles an evening this feat would give him too much of an advantage compared to the rest of the group.
