Level Up (A5E) Diviner Follower Ranking Out of Order?

This might be too specific but my table is going through the followers and the diviner ranking makes no sense.

Inexperienced = 1 first level cleric spell or cantrip per day
Seasoned = 1 expertise roll per day on an ability check.

Guidance is an expertise dice on an ability check so I don't know why seasoned is less powerful than inexperienced. Further 1 advantage dice per week for an expert arguably isn't as good as a pocket cure wounds waiting in the wings.

It seems to me that it should go

Inexperienced: 1 expertise per day
Seasoned: 1 advantage per week
Expert: 1 first level spell or cantrip from the cleric list per day

Benefits stack IIRC, so seasoned would be able to grant you 1 expertise dice on top of whatever else you decide to get with the inexperienced feature (be it a guidance cantrip or cure light wounds spell).
However I do agree that if this is the case as i remember, it looks like benefits for the follower are front loaded with diminishing returns after the inexperienced tier, meaning that an expertise dice is a minor addition over a 1st level spell

Yeah, you get the previous feature as well (unless it specifies otherwise).
except certain followers specify "As [previous level of experience]", suggesting the opposite is true.

i mean, i'd still run each follower as having their benefits stack (unless the benefits are literally just the same but increasing, like with the porter), but RAW i don't think that's how they work.

I saw that discussion earlier in the forum and that makes sense. It's going to be my DM ruling, but even then, why would you ever bother with a more experienced diviner if they're that front loaded?
