I try to have the culture match the world they live in, not some pseudo-medieval society based on minimal knowledge and cherry picking specific historical periods.*Every commoner being a dirt poor half starved peasant is also a myth, it varied wildly depending on when and where you're talking about, just like it always has.</blockquote>
