I was curious as to whether or not there is a market (and a workforce) for Dungeon Master Class.

We need High Quality DM's that can stand to teach 7 classes a day, five days a week, to students for two years straight. After graduating with thier Degree in Dungeon Mastering they are obligated to teach class after they have worked for 10 additional years.

I also want to know who would like to sign up?

When I first read your post, I thought that "Dungeon Master Class" was a PC class.

I guess every good party needs a 16th level DM or so =)

Or, more like the way you put it:

"Yes, I am your 16th level Dungeon Master... welcome to my '1st Level and beyond DM'ing class"...

=P

Strangely enough, it's usually the lowest level DMs that do the nastiest tricks. :D

2 years during which I'd have to put either school and any job I might get or my social life (HAHAHAHAAH, yeah right! ) and sleep before I graduate?

As a full time type of deal, forget it. I think that someone could make a good web based seminar or maybe a weekend retreat program would work. It would be fun and informative.

Well, I couldn't do it every day (unless you want to match my current salary and benefits) but I'd love to do teach at an RPG camp or seminar or something.

Also, when you ask for GMs, what qualifications are you looking for? For example, I've played RPGs for over 20 years, but I'm not a member of the RPGA or anything. Will there be "GM requirements"?

And who would write the curriculum? Would it be flexible? How much control would the instructor have? The students? What resources will be availible?

Sorry, not trying to innundate you with questions, but this is all stuff I've considered when pondering similar projects on my own.

I hope this info helps.

what pay are you looking at for teaching how to DM and what pay would you expect a DM to make. How would you get people to agree to 2 years of course taking? Understanding that generally speaking the benefits of an education must surpass the cost of the education.

At Origins, I attended a round-table seminar, chaired by Dave Arneson, called DMing (or GMing...can't recall) 101. It was a good session.
