DM Screen

Does anybody know when and if a Revised DM Screen will be coming out? Mine's all wrong now!

It has a full total DM screen made of cardboard like the other one? No construction needed?

If so, when does that magazine come out?

I guess it's made of cardboard. Subscribers are getting copies now, so it should be out real soon in shops in the US.

Don't know how it compares to the other one as I haven't seen the other one. there were lots of threads in the general forum about it. generally very positive.

Yes, it's made of cardSTOCK (but not laminated.)
Dragon 310 has been in stores all week.

"Cardboard"? More like cardstock (the kind of material used for index cards).

But, it is thicker than the 3e version. It may not stand up to players' dice-pelting but at least it can stand upright without sagging ... unlike that 3e version.

For a free screen that comes with the magazine, I think it's excellent. There are quite a few useful tables, though they have pictures of miniatures along the bottom. Not sure what that's about. It's not laminated, but it's a heavy enough stock to stand up fine. As was mentioned, it might not hold up over the long run if you like to throw your dice against it, but maybe it well.

All-in-all, it's worth getting issue 310 for the screen. The issue has some good stuff in it, too. I like the variant Fighter classes. Nothing flashy, just a little extra flavor.

You have just made my day! I just jumped over to www.kenzerco.com and found out that the 3.5 GM Screen is scheduled to be released in September for $19.99.

The pics of the minis along the bottom are intended to brainwash you (sorta like all the subliminals in They Live) into buying the new Pre-Painted minis WotC is releasing (ala Mage Knight, Hero-Clicks, Mechwarrior, etc). I'll keep painting my own thankyouverymuch.

As to the quality of the screen in the latest Dragon I think it's better than the one that WotC put out for 3.0.
