DM in search of players in the Ashburn, Virginia area, for an in-person game of D&D! The adventure is tentatively titled "Bell, Book, and Candle." The setting is custom but fairly general, starting out at level 1 in the town of Brightstone. The town prepares for this year's Harvest Festival, blissfully unaware of the dangers waiting on the horizon.
I have one (possibly two) players so far, so would be open to up to three more. We're in our 30s, with life (and kids) intervening on a regular basis; expecting two sessions per month, on the weekends. Looking only for in-person gamers. (We've tried connecting a few friends by Skype and oovoo in the past, but haven't had a good experience).
Crunchy stuff: 3.5 (with a fair amount of houserules, provided before first session). Fractional BAB, LA buyoff available. LA up to 2 allowed to start. Stats rolled; free 18; 4d6 drop one/reroll ones once, for the rest. Most books available. The players start at level 1, hoping to take it all the way to 20 if it stays together. There will be a good mix (I hope) of combat and non-combat encounters. Tone is mid-to-high fantasy, some serious elements but not too gritty. There will be some Vile foes, but if it doesn't need to be there for plot purposes, it won't be described.
Welcome to all levels of gaming experience; all that's needed is a desire for fun. Contact me if interested!
