Rather than asking about "bad DM skills" let's go for the positive spin.

Name one DM skill that your DM has some invested some skill points in (i.e. name one thing your DM does that you appreciate)

If you have more than one DM, you can list one thing for each DM. But stick with just one thing for each DM.


To start:

I appreciate my DM's skill at NPC characterization (voices/personality/motivations/etc)

My DM puts buckets of time into creating high-quality floorplans and battle-mats, which add a lot to our combats.

Did it make you improve your DM'ing, shame you into quitting DM'ing, or something else?

My 4E group rotates DM's. The current DM is extremely easy-going. He allowed one player to attempt to dodge falling rocks by intimidating them. It increased that player's fun tremendously.
