I use DM Genie for Combat Tracking, NPC and PC Management, and Campagin Management. Been using this program for over 2 years with no complaints. Its a good solid program with most features you will need for using a laptop at the table which is what I do.
I also use Maptools you can find this at rptools.net this is use for Virtual Tabletop. I have 1 player that moved out of state and this program allows him to still play.
